California Weekend!
Raeh, Karley, Eden and I worked it out with Jonathan to surprise Kaela with a visit! Although she thought that the surprise was that Jon had found her lost kitten, she was not disappointed! J
Jonathan picked us up 9:30am Cali time. Raeh and I survived the airport and the flight just fine with the kids. (I in the meantime am completely stressed that Eden is so unhappy and not feeling well because she's always so happy) It was a long day to get her to sleep and take good naps.
We just hung out Friday - it was good. Jon made the best hamburgers!---yum!!
Saturday we took a trip to Disney! Jonathan had been working on getting free tickets for us, amazing! Karley was in awe! She is totally in the princess phase right now. I literally had tears in my eyes watching her reaction when meeting the princesses.
I can't remember if we went to the animal shelter Friday night or Saturday night....Kaela wanted a new kitty. We didn't find one.
Sunday we headed out to Jon's parents. (I really wish we could have met them. They are in Israel celebrating their wedding anniversary. ) They raise Salukis. She either trains or judges them for dog shows, I'm not certain. They have peacocks too! Those are some noisy birds! After visiting the dog farm we went to our Aunt Jane's for a dip in the hot tub and supper. It's always nice to catch up with Scott and Jane.
Sunday night we were able to enjoy some sister time with no kids or boys. (no offense baby girls or jon)
It was hard to say goodbye Monday afternoon but I was ready to get Eden back to her crib and routine. She did great the rest of the trip. Friday was the only rough day. The flight on the way back was great. All four of us even got to sleep on the way to Houston! With 20 minutes left on our Houston - Columbus flight, Karley got sick on a blueberry smoothie. Raeh and Karley were covered! Soo thankful that if it had to happen, it was perfect timing. Flight going home and almost off the plane! :)
It was a great trip, but I was not anticipating how much work it would be to travel with kids and no husband. Raeh and I handled it well, just harder than I thought!
There were too many pictures to decide which ones to post......
