Busy-Busy-Busy-Busy...

No, not in a stressful life sort-of way....in a busy busy baby way!
Eden has been walking for 3 weeks now, I've taken very few pictures and have not even finished blogging from our trip! She keeps me busy, in a wonderful way!

My biggest excuse for not blogging is also legwarmers! I've been sewing and crafting, and loovving it! Pictures later! I am so happy being at home!

Yaiko, like Geico, but with a Y!

Our vacation posts have been intimidating to me. First, I had to catch up with blogging, now I'm stalling because I do not know how put into words what a wonderful time we had with The Yaikos! (I just read her updated blog, she's way better than me. You can read about our trip from her as well!)

Plane ride, is everyone's first question. Eden was wonderful on the plane. She woke up crying only once when the flight attendant spilled pop on her. Do I sound like a mean mom if I was thinking better her than me? She fell right back asleep and it's much easier to change her clothes than mine. We were greeted with hugs and smiles at the airport and I got to meet baby Kate for the first time! We were drained after the plane ride, and took it easy the next day. The first two days looked something like this....

Kevin was our chauffeur and this was the backseat.

...and facing the opposite way. It took a few times to get used to sticking babies in a rear facing car seat backwards. Makes me wonder how many kids we will have.

The girls enjoying the rocks at the new house. We were lucky enough to see not just one but of their houses. Kevin and Kristen will be moving, well actually any day now, to this house. Kristen has a way of making a house a beautiful home. I love her decorating. She's very creative and crafty in an elegant, warm way. I know this next house will be beautiful as well!

Enjoying some ice cream! Eden went right for the waffle bowl. The triamisu (my second helping) was amazing!

Seth enjoying his scoops!

Chronological Order

I've been dying to blog about our amazing trip, but I'm a little OCD with some things. ...Writing things in chronological order is one of them. I couldn't blog about our trip until I had updated the rest of pictures that I had taken so it wouldn't be out of order...I know crazy!

I'm still working on uploading more pictures. When we got back from vacation our air conditioning wasn't working, our cupboard was full of ants, and our freezer part of the fridge was beginning to thaw. WELCOME HOME! With no air the computer room is the hottest with no ceiling fan and the computer running at my feet, which means being in that room as little as possible.

Very thankful that I actually napped when Eden took her nap this morning. Feeling good! If I didn't feel so guilty I would do it more often. :)

Hungary pictures to come! It was amazing! It just made Matt and I want to go back, besides the lllooonng flight! The Yaikos were more than gracious taking us everywhere, letting us invade their home, and treating us to some delicious meals and snacks! details to come.....

I'm working on some meal planning right now thanks to Kristen. I haven't planned for a week of supper in months...ok maybe a year or two!

Sweeeet Corn :)

Eden loves to do whatever I'm doing. It works out well when it doesn't involve knives, hair dryers, and straightners, and outlets. She wasn't quite sure what to think of the silk. Thanks Owen for picking us out some great corn from Papa Larry!

I like to do things all by myself now..thank you.

Eden thinks she is Miss Independent some days. Here she is thinking she is 'big stuff'!

She can wear me out crawling, or walking with me holding her hands, on the playground. She loves doing her own thing on the bridge and doesn't tire easily. I love watching her explore new things.

"Mom, just give me a minute. I can stand up and get out of here myself. "
She will be sad when she's too big to ride in here since she's not supposed to in the first place. She loves being pulled around the house in her wagon or a laundry basket. This is usually the supper-making activity. I do a lap around the downstairs and pause in the kitchen to do a step for supper then make another round, pause and do something else in kitchen....the pause time usually only lasts about 30-45 seconds. - takes FOR-E-VER to make supper some nights!!

Holy Guacamole!

This post is dedicated to Eden's 1 day love of avocados!
(yes, half of it was peeled)

My First Birthday!

Let me just tell you how much I love icing! The cake was good, but man, that icing is real good. I didn't know what to do at first. I figured it out real fast!

It was so good that I just decided to pick up the whole cake! ...why not?

I was so excited to talk about icing, I guess I should have told you about the cake before I enjoyed devouring it! :) This is my first birthday cake that my Aunt Kaela made just for me. I started saying her name after she went back to California.

I was so dirty after I was done that I had to take a quick 'bath' in my swimming pool before getting a real bath. Cake eating is messy work! I had a great birthday with all my granny, grandparents and all my aunts, uncles, and cousins. I was soo happy everyone could come. They love me so much!! Thank you for celebrating with me! :)

11 Months Today!

Love her!!

Playing in her crib
This is my favorite thing right now. She walks herself to the end of the crib and I'm crawling on the floor pounding my hands and pop up with a 'boo' she hysterically crawls to the other end of the crib, so I crawl on the floor to the other end. When I pop up the second time she flops her body down waiting for a tickle! Of course there's screaming involved. :)

Our trip to the park today. She got mad at me when I put her on my lap and was swinging with her because she didn't want to get sleepy. I started humming and she started growling!

Happy 30th Birthday Matt!

Happy 30th Birthday Daddy!

Eden was a trooper yesterday. She didn't feel well and we ran many errands. You can see her red splotchy face and tired eyes. :( She was still ready to celebrate her Dad turning the big 3-0!

10 Months

Hmmm..... Eden will be 11 months in just a few days.

I feel like the faster she moves the faster the months go! She is crawling like crazy. Her favorite game right now is trying to find me behind the couch, the other side of the wall...you get the picture. She's playing chase/hide-n-seek, and just laughs! She loves her cheerios, swinging and her car seat. She actually flaps her arms and is excited when she has to get in it. She has also mastered taking out the 'child-proof' outlet covers, and opening any container that has a pop lid instead of one that screws on. Her favorite is taking her Puffs lid off and eating right from the container like a cup! Here a a few pictures of her life in the last month.

This is the face when she doesn't get what she wants in a second or she hurts herself. She will look at you like it's all your fault. Right now it's cute......I hope it doesn't turn into tantrums! I think I may be raising a red-head!

Here it is again.... :)

I sent Matt out on a pool mission on Eden's 3rd day of her fever. She had been wanting to go out, but it was just too hot. This was the best smile we could get for those few days. After the first few minutes she was more interested in trying to climb out of the pool than playing inside. It did cool her down and she felt better with a little help of Tylenol.

She loves it!!

...and I love this face!

This is what I do when she is tired and is fighting sleep. Stick her crib in front of the open windows, put the cat in the sill and give her a few toys. I wonder what the neighbors think as they walk by and see/hear a baby screaming out of the second story window? (she pulls herself up to the crib and screams at people walking by) The tired mom can clean the bathroom and pick up a few things and baby is HAPPY!

California Weekend!

Disney Land!

Raeh, Karley, Eden and I worked it out with Jonathan to surprise Kaela with a visit! Although she thought that the surprise was that Jon had found her lost kitten, she was not disappointed! J

Our flight left at 6:15am Friday morning. Eden had not slept but maybe an hour (sitting up in her crib) the entire night. She had a fever, and instead of taking a shower and getting myself ready in the morning I was giving my baby a cold bath at 3:00am. She was miserable! It was a rough start to the weekend. I was debating about calling the airline to get a later flight. I didn't think we would be able to make it there in time. We did and the flight was fine except for a very tired, hot, unhappy baby. (why is this underlined and blue?? ahhh)

Jonathan picked us up 9:30am Cali time. Raeh and I survived the airport and the flight just fine with the kids. (I in the meantime am completely stressed that Eden is so unhappy and not feeling well because she's always so happy) It was a long day to get her to sleep and take good naps.

We just hung out Friday - it was good. Jon made the best hamburgers!---yum!!

Saturday we took a trip to Disney! Jonathan had been working on getting free tickets for us, amazing! Karley was in awe! She is totally in the princess phase right now. I literally had tears in my eyes watching her reaction when meeting the princesses.

I can't remember if we went to the animal shelter Friday night or Saturday night....Kaela wanted a new kitty. We didn't find one.

Sunday we headed out to Jon's parents. (I really wish we could have met them. They are in Israel celebrating their wedding anniversary. ) They raise Salukis. She either trains or judges them for dog shows, I'm not certain. They have peacocks too! Those are some noisy birds! After visiting the dog farm we went to our Aunt Jane's for a dip in the hot tub and supper. It's always nice to catch up with Scott and Jane.

Sunday night we were able to enjoy some sister time with no kids or boys. (no offense baby girls or jon)

It was hard to say goodbye Monday afternoon but I was ready to get Eden back to her crib and routine. She did great the rest of the trip. Friday was the only rough day. The flight on the way back was great. All four of us even got to sleep on the way to Houston! With 20 minutes left on our Houston - Columbus flight, Karley got sick on a blueberry smoothie. Raeh and Karley were covered! Soo thankful that if it had to happen, it was perfect timing. Flight going home and almost off the plane! :)

It was a great trip, but I was not anticipating how much work it would be to travel with kids and no husband. Raeh and I handled it well, just harder than I thought!

There were too many pictures to decide which ones to post......

Karley is mesmerized!

Eden trying to kiss Eden the dog.

Hanging out at the park.

Swimming at Aunt Jane and Uncle Scott's

Saying goodbye :(

Trying to catch Eden's fig newton face. I fed her the cookie part of the fig newton on the plane to keep her occupied for a few minutes. She LOVED it! She was scrunching up her nose, half closing her eyes, and tipping her head back like she new she wasn't really supposed to be eating it. :)

9 Months!

Eden is 9 months old today! The 8-9 month flew by. She is doing something new every 2-3 days it seems. Yesterday she just started sitting on her bottom from being on her belly. She was crawling (well, I should saw army-scooting..she doesn't alternate arms she reaches both arms and pumps both legs to drag herself where she wants to go) around on the floor and the next thing I know she's sitting up! I misssed it the first time. Today she's already done it 3 times. In fact, she's getting so good that when I laid her down for a nap today she rolled over, sat up and pulled herself up in her crib in a matter of seconds. She was very proud of herself as you can see in the last picture. (good thing Matt lowered her crib last night!) I don't think I'm ready for her to be mobile. I plugged the outlets today. Such joy!

Angry Eyebrows!!

Eden is cracking me up. She started this face just a few days ago. At first, I thought it was a poo face. Then she was imitating me when I would crease my brow. Now, she makes this face when she is agitated or doesn't get what she wants. She will be 9 months old tomorrow. I didn't think she was supposed to look at me like this until she was in Jr. High.

Random pictures

I love this picture. This is a shout out to my dear sister Kaela and her long lost kitten Halo. Halo was getting a flea bath in this picture. I think it should be on the front of some greeting card pertaining to "sometimes life's rough" or "bad hair day" hahaha! She really was a beautiful cat, you just can't tell here. :)

Matt's Valentine's Present. I was going through pictures and chocolate looks really good to me right now so I thought I'd share!

Eden loved playing with the sprinkles...no I didn't let her eat any.

Easter Weekend Continued...

Just a few more shots.....and Eden loved playing with Grandpa's bald head.
