Busy-Busy-Busy-Busy...

No, not in a stressful life sort-of way....in a busy busy baby way!
Eden has been walking for 3 weeks now, I've taken very few pictures and have not even finished blogging from our trip! She keeps me busy, in a wonderful way!

My biggest excuse for not blogging is also legwarmers! I've been sewing and crafting, and loovving it! Pictures later! I am so happy being at home!

Yaiko, like Geico, but with a Y!

Our vacation posts have been intimidating to me. First, I had to catch up with blogging, now I'm stalling because I do not know how put into words what a wonderful time we had with The Yaikos! (I just read her updated blog, she's way better than me. You can read about our trip from her as well!)

Plane ride, is everyone's first question. Eden was wonderful on the plane. She woke up crying only once when the flight attendant spilled pop on her. Do I sound like a mean mom if I was thinking better her than me? She fell right back asleep and it's much easier to change her clothes than mine. We were greeted with hugs and smiles at the airport and I got to meet baby Kate for the first time! We were drained after the plane ride, and took it easy the next day. The first two days looked something like this....

Kevin was our chauffeur and this was the backseat.

...and facing the opposite way. It took a few times to get used to sticking babies in a rear facing car seat backwards. Makes me wonder how many kids we will have.

The girls enjoying the rocks at the new house. We were lucky enough to see not just one but of their houses. Kevin and Kristen will be moving, well actually any day now, to this house. Kristen has a way of making a house a beautiful home. I love her decorating. She's very creative and crafty in an elegant, warm way. I know this next house will be beautiful as well!

Enjoying some ice cream! Eden went right for the waffle bowl. The triamisu (my second helping) was amazing!

Seth enjoying his scoops!

Chronological Order

I've been dying to blog about our amazing trip, but I'm a little OCD with some things. ...Writing things in chronological order is one of them. I couldn't blog about our trip until I had updated the rest of pictures that I had taken so it wouldn't be out of order...I know crazy!

I'm still working on uploading more pictures. When we got back from vacation our air conditioning wasn't working, our cupboard was full of ants, and our freezer part of the fridge was beginning to thaw. WELCOME HOME! With no air the computer room is the hottest with no ceiling fan and the computer running at my feet, which means being in that room as little as possible.

Very thankful that I actually napped when Eden took her nap this morning. Feeling good! If I didn't feel so guilty I would do it more often. :)

Hungary pictures to come! It was amazing! It just made Matt and I want to go back, besides the lllooonng flight! The Yaikos were more than gracious taking us everywhere, letting us invade their home, and treating us to some delicious meals and snacks! details to come.....

I'm working on some meal planning right now thanks to Kristen. I haven't planned for a week of supper in months...ok maybe a year or two!

Sweeeet Corn :)

Eden loves to do whatever I'm doing. It works out well when it doesn't involve knives, hair dryers, and straightners, and outlets. She wasn't quite sure what to think of the silk. Thanks Owen for picking us out some great corn from Papa Larry!

I like to do things all by myself now..thank you.

Eden thinks she is Miss Independent some days. Here she is thinking she is 'big stuff'!

She can wear me out crawling, or walking with me holding her hands, on the playground. She loves doing her own thing on the bridge and doesn't tire easily. I love watching her explore new things.

"Mom, just give me a minute. I can stand up and get out of here myself. "
She will be sad when she's too big to ride in here since she's not supposed to in the first place. She loves being pulled around the house in her wagon or a laundry basket. This is usually the supper-making activity. I do a lap around the downstairs and pause in the kitchen to do a step for supper then make another round, pause and do something else in kitchen....the pause time usually only lasts about 30-45 seconds. - takes FOR-E-VER to make supper some nights!!

Holy Guacamole!

This post is dedicated to Eden's 1 day love of avocados!
(yes, half of it was peeled)

My First Birthday!

Let me just tell you how much I love icing! The cake was good, but man, that icing is real good. I didn't know what to do at first. I figured it out real fast!

It was so good that I just decided to pick up the whole cake! ...why not?

I was so excited to talk about icing, I guess I should have told you about the cake before I enjoyed devouring it! :) This is my first birthday cake that my Aunt Kaela made just for me. I started saying her name after she went back to California.

I was so dirty after I was done that I had to take a quick 'bath' in my swimming pool before getting a real bath. Cake eating is messy work! I had a great birthday with all my granny, grandparents and all my aunts, uncles, and cousins. I was soo happy everyone could come. They love me so much!! Thank you for celebrating with me! :)
